The Rocket's regular season officially came to and end when the Yankees scratched him from his scheduled start due to concerns with his left hamstring.

Clemens finishes the 2007 with a 6-6 record over 18 games (17 starts) and a 4.18 ERA.

For his career the Rocket is now 354-184 with a 3.12 ERA. His 4672 strikeouts rank 2nd all time and his 354 wins rank 8th.

The Rocket showed no ill effects of the elbow ailment that had kept him out of the rotation and pitched a terrific game in what turned out to be a no-decision against the Red Sox on 9/16.

September 3, 2007

The Rocket left with elbow pain after laboring through four innings and ended up with a loss against the Mariners on 9/3.

Clemens' line was five runs on eight hits over four innings with one walks and two strikeouts.

Clemens is scheduled to have an MRI and is expected to miss at least one start.

August 29, 2007

The Rocket pitched a terrific game and improved to 6-5 on the year with a win against the Red Sox on 8/29.

Clemens was a bit wild, matching his season high with five walks, but was able to make his pitches when he needed to. He help the Red Sox offense at bay, taking a no-hit bid into the sixth inning.

His final line was one run on two hits over six innings with two Ks and five walks.

August 24, 2007

The Rocket was not at his best and ended up with a no decision against the Tigers on 8/24.

Clemens gave up six runs over five innings and left with the score tied 6-6 in a game the Yankees eventually lost in extra innings.

His final line was six runs on six hits over five innings with three walks and three strikeouts.

August 18, 2007

The Rocket returned from his five game suspension with a strong outing and picked up a win against the Tigers on 8/18.

The highlight of the game was a unique 2-1 double play that had not been turned in the major leagues since 1986. With one out and runners on the corners Clemens struck out the batter as the runner from first took off for second. Posada came up throwing, but Clemens cut it off, catching the runner on third by surprise and was able to tag him out to end the inning.

Clemens final line was two runs on ten hits over six innings. He matched his season high with eight Ks and did not walk a batter.

August 7, 2007

The Rocket bounced back from one of the worst starts in his career with a real gem, picking up a win against the Blue Jays on 8/7.

Clemens was in absolute command of the game, giving up just two singles in six plus innings and retiring 13 in a row at one stretch. His night came to an abrupt end when he was ejected for hitting the leadoff hitter in the seventh, protecting Alex Rodriguez who had been hit earlier in the game. The bullpen unfortunately allowed that runner to score.

The Rocket's final line was one run on two hits over six plus innings with one walk and six Ks.

August 2, 2007

The Rocket had one of the worst outings of his career but his offense was able to rally to get him off the hook and he ended up with a no-decision against the White Sox on 8/2.

After pitching a 1-2-3 first innings Clemens didn't make it through the second, giving up eight runs (only three yeared) on an astonishing nine hits before being pulled with two outs in the inning. Remarkably, the Yankees rallied to score eight runs themselves in the bottom half of the innings to take the Rocket off the hook for the loss.

His final line was eight runs (three earned) on nine hits with no walks and no strikeouts in an inning and two-thirds. This was The Rocket's shortest outing since 2000.

July 28, 2007

The Rocket pitched a solid game but dind't get much support from either his offense or his bullpen and ended up with a loss against the Orioles on 7/28.

After laboring through a 31 pitch first inning in which he gave up two runs Clemens settled down and gaive up just one more run until he left with one out in the seventh and the Yankees trailing 3-1. The bullpen however allowed four more runs to score and the club was unable to rally in the ninth.

The Rocket's final line was four runs on eight hits over six and a third innings with three walks and six strikeouts.

July 23, 2007

The Rocket pitched seven strong innings to pickup a win against the Royals on 7/23.

Clemens gave up two runs on four hits over seven innings with no walks and three Ks. This was career win number 351.

July 18, 2007

The Rocket worked his way in and out of trouble effectively but didn't get any run support and ended up with a no-decision against the Blue Jays on 7/18.

Clemens gave up a season high nine hits but held the Blue Jays to just one run over six innings. He left the game trailing 1-0 but the Yankees rallied to score six runs after he left to win.

The Rocket's final line was one run on nine hits over six innings with one walk and three Ks.

July 13, 2007

The Rocket had an off outing and ended up with a loss against the Devil Rays on 7/13.

Clemens' final line was five runs on five hits over five and a third innings with four walks and two strikeouts.

The Rocket pitched another impressive game but ended up with a no-decision against the Angels on 7/7.

Clemens went eight strong innings, giving up just one run in a terrific pitcher's duel with John Lackey. He left with the score tied 1-1 in a game the Yankees eventually lost in 13 innings.

The Rocket's final line was one run on five hits over eight innings with one walk and three Ks.

July 2, 2007

The Rocket became the first pitcher to since 1963 to win 350 games with a dominant victory over the Twins on 7/2.

Clemens went a season high eight innings, holding the Twins to one run on just two hits with one walk and four strikeouts. He retired the last 15 hitters he faced.

June 27, 2007

The Rocket pitched a good game but the Yankees were shut out of the second time in his four starts and he lost to the Orioloes on 6/27.

Clemens pitched very well through the first five innings, holding the Orioloes to just three hits. However he appeared to tire on a hot, humid night in Baltimore and struggled in the sixth, giving up four runs.

His final line was four runs on seven hits over six innings with three walks and no strikeouts.

June 24, 2007

The Rocket made just the second relief appearance of his career in the Yankees' game against the Giants on 6/24.

Clemens pitched the seventh inning, giving up one run on one hit with a walk and a strikeout. With one out he walked Barry bonds on five pitches. Bonds later scored after a single and a sacrifice fly.

The Rocket's last relief appearnce had been in 1984.

June 21, 2007

The Rocket labored about in the thin air of Coors field and ended up with a loss against the Rockets on 6/21.

Clemens lasted just four and a third innings, getting charged with four runs on seven hits with one walk and six Ks.

At the plate Clemens went 1 for 2 with a single.

The Rocket improved in his second outing of the season but the Yankees were shut out as he lost to the Mets on 6/15.

Clemens went six and a third innings giving up two runs on seven hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.

The Rocket returned to the big leagues in winning fashion, turning in a quality start that earned him career victory number 349.

Clemens went six innings against the visiting Pirates, giving up three earned runs on five hits and two walks with seven Ks. He appeared to settle in as the start went on, retiring the last seven hitters he faced.

The Rocket make what was likely his last minor league tuneup start, pitching six scorless innings for the Yankees AAA affiliate. Clemens gave up two hits and two walks with six Ks.

The Rocket continued his road back to the Yankees with a start for the AA Trenton Thunder. Clemens threw 102 pitches over five and a third innings, allowing three runs on six hits while walking four and striking out five.

In the first step of his return to the Yankkes the Rocket had a solid outing with the Yankees Single A minor league club, going four innings, giving up one run on three hits. He threw 42 of 58 pitches for strikes.

The Rocket announced he will return to the Yankees for the 2007 season. He made the announcement during the seventh inning stretch of the Yankees game against the Mariners.

Terms of the contract and a specific timetable have not yet been released.
